Leave No Veteran Behind: Acts for Student Loans

Just lately, the credit market got a lot of difficulties with student loans. There is a credit crunch, which takes student loan programs at risk. Many loan lenders got the idea of quitting student loans but then, a lot also argues since education to students is much more important that needs more consideration. However, lenders really shoulder the credit problems since a lot of students were not able to repay their student loans. Now, to minimize the problem, banks and loan lenders set standards for students who would qualify to acquire a loan with a good record and a good score.
Meanwhile, 2 Luther Alumni, Roy Brown and Eli Williamson are helping veterans to pay off their student loans. They are both veterans and they had attended Luther together.
Roy Brown and Eli Williamson met Congressman Tom Latham for their organization, “Leave No Veteran Behind.” It is a non-profit organization that repays student loans for qualified veterans not covered by the current military programs.
Congressman Tom Latham said, “No one has done more to secure our freedom than our veterans and military personnel and they must never be forgotten.”
“Organizations such as Leave No Veteran Behind are a part of an integral support system for the men and women who had put their lives on the line of our country.”
Roy Brown and Eli Williamson introduces to the congress their organization, Leave No Veteran Behind and spoke up with their experiences they have done together with their corporate organizations and partners. According to them, Leave No Veteran Behind creates partnerships to help pay for veterans’ student loans in such cases where the loan is not covered by the GI Bill.
Williamson was the Executive Director of the organization and he said, “The current GI Bill and the Military Student Loan Repayment Program have helped many veterans pay the cost of their education. These programs are effective but do not apply to all veterans who have served honorably.”
Congressman Latham was already been working to support the expansion of modernizing the GI Bill to provide a greater amount of educational loans to veterans. In this way around, the educational benefits for veterans will expand which will cover all the cost of their post-service education.
