ASU Student’s Loans: At ease in availing?

Arizona State UniversityCredit crunch is what the globe is experiencing, availing student loan program takes time and effort to avail. But Arizona State University makes difference on this matter; there were more slots for student loan grantee that they would have to give.

ASU is the largest University, “Here at ASU, financial aid remains as available as ever before,” said Craig Fennel with the ASU Financial Services Department.

“We’re still doing the same volume we’ve done in prior years, and we’re not aware of any unusual difficulties students are having here at ASU in obtaining those private student loans.”

He added, “Here at ASU, for the first time last year, we were at over half-a-billion dollars in total aid, which is one of the highest amounts in the country.”

One of the main reasons why Arizona doesn’t feel the difficulties on financing student loan grantee, for they were one of those Universities, which are having lowest tuition rates in the country. Due to this, it is really not difficult to get financed although some of the students need a cosigner.

“It’s different in some areas of the country, particularly on the east coast. So what we’re seeing there is a higher cost-of-living, private colleges being more expensive, there is dragging on private student loan availability.” Fennel said.

“Students here generally have to borrow less than they do at many other schools, particularly private schools, but many other public schools, as well. So it’s easier to get approved for those lower loan amounts.” Fennel added.

Though government is making sufficient aids on scholarships and grants, still more and more students are seeking for private loans.

But Fennel makes some advises that for those students who have experienced being turned down, don’t be discourage and continue to shop around for student loan program is being guaranteed by the government in doing sufficient actions to avoid student loan crisis.
